The COME SHINE WITH ME Summer Program is open to Meck 11 Girl Scouts and their friends. All Workshops are held on Thursdays at St. Francis UMC. Girls not currently registered as girl scouts will need to register to participate in this program.
Please read the Important Information regarding this program before registering.
Non refundable registration fee is $2.50. All workshops are $6 each.
The Registration form is a .pdf file and may take a moment to download. Ignore the 2004 date.
A blank Permission Slip and a Girl Health History form is also available for download and printing if you have lost the original or are registering less than two weeks before workshop date.
A completed Permission Slip and Girl Health History form must be dropped off with your daughter for every workshop. Health History forms will be returned to her at end of the workshop.

Get ready for summer fun by creating your own "summer bag". Girls will be stenciling, painting, stamping, etc. their own designs on a canvas bag for their summer fun adventures.

There will be lots of fun going around as we pass the story stick and play games together. The day's activities will be selected from a prepared list by the girls present.

Wave The Flag
Brownie Try-It Workshop
Enrollment Minimum = 6
Facilitator = Terri E
Learn how to fold an American Flag, run the flag up the flag pole and participate in a flag ceremony. Learn the history of our flag and what each part of it represents. Sing patriotic songs. The try-it will be given at the end of the day.

Join in for a creative time making a variety of things with paper. Dolls, planes, stationery, pinwheels, etc.

Brownie Try-It Workshop

Create you own puppets to take home. Try your hand at a part in a play. The try-it will be given at the end of the day.

   STOP! Before you go any further, read this Important Information regarding the COME SHINE WITH ME Program
 1.  Choose activities that match your interests. We want you to have fun as well as learn something new.
 2. Check dates, times and age level information in the box by the activity.
 3. Read activity descriptions carefully. Some offer the opportunity to earn a try-it or badge, others just offer some fun!
 4. NO SHOWS. There will be no refund for girls who register for an event and don't come. As a courtesy, please call or e-mail the event leader to let her/him know you won't be attending. This way the group won't be hanging around waiting for you!
 5. CANCELLATIONS. There will be no refund for cancellations made less than two weeks from the date of the event unless your place can be given to a girl on the wait list. This allows workshop leaders to purchase supplies/badges in advance. You will be refunded if we have to cancel an event due to lack of interest.
 6.  Most activities require additional adult chaperones. If you are willing to serve as a chaperone, please indicate so on the registration form.
   
   GIRLS ATTENDING ANY WORKSHOP MUST BRING WITH THEM:
  • COMPLETED HEALTH FORM AND PERMISSION SLIP
  • A BOTTLE OF WATER
  • WEAR SUITABLE CLOTHING (Especially if tie dying)
  • WEAR COVERED TOE STYLE SHOES (No slippers of sandals)
  • ANY ITEMS LISTED IN "BRING" SECTION OF THE WORKSHOP

One Time Annual registration fee of $2.50 covers the cost of the participation patch and mailings.
